I need opinions on the doppler device! I’m so good at worrying myself between appointments and at first, I was opposed to the doppler because i’ve read such mixed reviews about it. I’d like to hear what you all think! Do you have a fetal doppler? and if so, how’s your experience with it?

I love using my doppler. It gives me a little peace of mind between visits. I use this one https://fsastore.com/naturespirit-handheld-fetal-doppler/22922.html & Got the jelly from amazon. If you have an FSA card they are both eligible. Easy to use too!

Is anyone aware of any safety concerns with using an at home doppler? Have you guys talked to your doctors about it? I also bought one to ease my mind in between appointments but in just doing Google searches, seems like it’s not recommended.

@FirstTimeMomma84,
i haven’t read anything about them being unsafe. just that they can cause more stress

@FirstTimeMomma84,
I asked a super experienced ultrasound tech about it and she said they are basically harmless because they use sound waves to find the heartbeat. It’s not the same as the whole sonogram machine they use

I agree with your initial statement - I’ve heard so many mixed reviews, the last thing I want to do is stress myself out more!

@KJOleson,
same! i think i’ll be brave and give it a chance. if it does work then that would help relieve so much stress and worry! i’ll just keep in mind they don’t always work. fingers crossed
